Miss Indiana Sydney Shrewsberry had a lot of options when choosing what costume she wore in the Miss USA pageant, which airs on Friday, October 24. Some suggestions she received were dressing up as a corn cob or a pork tenderloin, or something Indy 500 related, or perhaps the Indiana University bison mascot. She chose none of those.

Instead, Sydney Shrewsberry went with, as she put it, “something that [Miss] Indiana has never worn on the Miss USA stage before.” She wasn’t lying.

At the 2025 Miss USA pageant, Shrewsberry was dressed up as a very, very sparkly Caitlin Clark. That’s right. Number 22 in your scorecards, and number one in the hearts of Indiana Fever fans.

IndyStar describes the outfit as “a bandeau top, short shorts, knee-high platform sneakers and a cloak accented with basketball netting.”

Bonus: Sydney Shrewsberry’s Caitlin Clark costume also comes with a crystal-studded blue and gold basketball.

“Reppin Ms. Clark & the Hoosier state with pride!!” she wrote in an Instagram post revealing her Miss USA fit. “The state costume show is complete, be sure to tune in Wednesday night for preliminaries.”

How to watch Sydney Shrewsberry in the 2025 Miss USA pageant

The Miss USA event is taking place at at 8 p.m. ET on the 24th at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. It is the fourth time that the pageant has been held in the state of Nevada and the first time ever that it will not be televised on any major television network. Instead, it will be shown on the Queen Beauty Network.

So while not everyone will be watching the Miss USA pageant this year, due to many people not knowing just what the heck the Queen Beauty Network is, or how to find it, there is one thing that every one will be watching, at least according to Miss Indiana Sydney Shrewsberry.

“In 49 states it’s just basketball, but this is #INDIANA,” she wrote alongside photos of herself in a “Everyone watches women’s sports” t-shirt.
