The Missouri basketball team pulled off its biggest upset in SEC play this year by beating fifth-ranked Florida on the road. After the win, the Tigers celebrated at the Gators’ expense.
Mizzou players were seen giving fans the Gator chomp as they exited the arena. It added insult to injury following the game’s controversial finish.

Missouri jumped out to a big lead, going up by as many as 19 in the first half of play. They’d take a 16-point advantage into the locker room at halftime before Florida stormed back.
The Gators began the second half on a 19-8 run to pull within five points. The deficit would later be cut to one possession, setting up a dramatic finish.
With just over two minutes left in play, Missouri guard Caleb Grill hit a three-point shot to extend his team’s lead. It turned a four-point advantage into seven points.
Replay appeared to show Grill’s foot on the three-point line for that shot. Florida fans believe it should’ve been a two. No review followed, and the shot stood as called.
I find it quite fascinating that on a night where Pat Adams & Co reviewed almost everything… the one thing they didn’t review was Caleb Grill’s “three.”

That one point would prove crucial. The Gators lost 83-82.
There’s no way to know if the call cost Florida a win. Those final two minutes likely would’ve played out a bit differently had the ruling been overturned. And even with the point taken off the board, the Gators would’ve had to play an overtime session. Still, the home crowd was unhappy.
That anger might be best directed elsewhere, though. Yes, it looks like the officials missed one, but Florida still had its chances. The team missed 10 free throws and turned the ball over 13 times. Those giveaways led to 18 Missouri points.
In the end, an early deficit was too much to overcome. The Tigers landed their second win over a Top 5 team while improving to 3-1 in the conference standings. Florida, meanwhile, fell to 2-2 in SEC play.
