In case you were in the mood for some Monday afternoon football, Missouri and Iowa had your covered. They squared off in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl in Nashville.

Missouri won the game, coming back to win, 27-24, to cap off a second-straight ten-win season. And, after the game, their social media department expertly trolled Iowa.

I’m not sure many people thought this game would be particularly exciting coming in. Iowa is never an exciting team to watch, as they;’re consistently one of the worst offenses in the country. And, their lone offensive weapon of note, 1500-yard rusher Kaleb Johnson, opted out of the game in advance of the 2025 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Mizzou didn’t exactly have the Greatest Show on Turf this year on offense, and electrifying wide receiver and likely first-round pick Luther Burden also opted out.

But, we ended up getting a pretty solid game. Missouri rallied from a ten-point second-half deficit to win and solidify their spot in the end-of-year AP Top 25.

After the game, the Mizzou social media team trolled the Hawkeyes.

Great graphic. But, can Missouri call themselves the best team in the midwest when they’re in the SEC? That feels a little bit off, but I guess you could consider Missouri the midwest.
