The Grand Canyon women’s basketball program will be dancing for the first time in history after winning its conference championship over the weekend. Head coach Molly Miller has been locked in this postseason despite potential distractions.

Miller is a hot commodity on the coaching market due to the success seen with the Antelopes. Her name’s been mentioned in connection to a notable Big 12 school.

The interest comes amid an incredible season in which Grand Canyon’s gone 32-2. That includes a current 30-game winning streak that continued with a victory in the WAC title matchup.

The ‘Lopes overcame a fourth quarter deficit to win that contest, 65-62. When the buzzer sounded, the party was on.

At last look, the Antelopes are projected to be a 12-seed in the NCAA Tournament. They’ll find out their actual fate on Selection Sunday.

Molly Miller’s been able to block out the outside noise to get her team to this point. Throughout this postseason, she’s been fielding questions about possible interest from Arizona State.

The Sun Devils just posted their fourth straight losing season. They’ve gone 41-76 in that time. Head coach Natasha Adair was recently fired after just three years in Tempe. The search seemed to immediately turn to Miller.

Despite the attention, she’s been able to keep the focus on the Antelopes. She can now look ahead to the Big Dance as she pursues more history at Grand Canyon. We’ll then see what the future holds in terms of her coaching career.
