Mondo Duplantis broke his own world record in pole vault at the World Championships, again. One of the greatest track and field athletes of all-time figured out a way to hack the monetary bonus system and it proved to be worth every penny in Tokyo.

Not one single person left his or her seat until the American-born Swede attempted his final jump.

It just goes to show that Duplantis is the biggest draw in track and field right now. He is the only field athlete in history to build an equal following to the sprinters.

Mondo Duplantis is an international superstar.

If I was to ask the average person to name three track and field athletes right now, I would imagine Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson would be the first two names that come to mind. I would guess Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone would also be in the mix. Mondo Duplantis would be right there with them.

He is the most popular international athlete in the sport.

Richardson is in a league of her own with more than four million followers on Instagram but Lyles and McLaughlin each have 1.5 million. As does Duplantis!

It is a must-see event every time he jumps. All 60,000 people at the World Championships in Tokyo stayed in their seats until the very end of the meet on Monday. Every single one.

Nobody moved until Mondo Duplantis completed his final jump. That cannot be said for other field athletes.

Another year, another World Record.

This year’s event marked the first time that seven different men have ever cleared 5.90m or higher in a single competition and the first time that 5.95m was not good enough for a medal. Emmanouil Karalis of Greece cleared 6.00m to secure silver. Kurtis Marschall clinched bronze on countback at 5.95m.

Duplantis technically won his third-consecutive gold medal at the World Championships at 6.10 meters but did not stop there. He raised the bar to world record height and cleared 6.30 meters.

Duplantis won his 36th-consecutive competition dating back to August 23. This is his 14th-consecutive world record.

  • 2025 – 6.28m
  • 2025 – 6.29m
  • 2025 – 6.30m

No big deal. The greatest of all-time keeps his crown.

The infinite money hack is worth every penny for the people who pay him.

Mondo Duplantis breaks his own world record by only one centimeter each time on purpose. He gets a $100,000 bonus from World Athletics on top of his prize money for winning gold.

Puma, Duplantis’ primary sponsor, also pays him an undisclosed bonus for every world record jump.

The 25-year-old made at least $200,000 at the Track and Field World Championships in Tokyo. That number is likely closer to $300,000.

Although Duplantis’ Swedish model fiancée is unwilling to discuss the money hack, he finally admitted to his infinite money “glitch” in July and revealed just how high he wants to go. The only man who might one day be able to beat him is only 12 years old so this trend is going to continue for awhile.

It is worth every penny for World Athletics and Puma!

As we already discussed, every single person stayed in their seats on Monday to watch Mondo Duplantis jump. The popularity he brings to the sport is great for World Athletics. The eyeballs he brings to his sponsor in every photo and video of his jumps are great for Puma. It’s a win-win-win.
