Mongolia recently unveiled their Paris Olympic uniforms which were designed by Michel & Amazonka and it should be a crime for a country to show up at the Olympic Games looking this good.
All over the world, people are praising the Mongolian Olympic uniforms as the best that anyone’s seen. One Australia TV host said if there were gold medals awarded for uniforms then Mongolia would have easily won that category. And once pictures hit social media and the unis began to go viral, the hype only began to build even further.
Michel & Amazonka, a design firm founded in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia back in 2015 who also designed Mongolia’s unis for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and 2022 Beijing Olympics, are the geniuses behind these incredible ‘fits. They shared images on their Instagram page earlier in the month of the men’s and women’s uniforms which, if we’re going to find any fault at all with them, might look a little hot for Summer in Paris but they look so good that won’t matter at all:

Traditional Mongolian elements in these include the men’s pointed hats called ‘buryats’ and the boots called ‘gutals’. To show off just how much work went into these incredible uniforms, the Mongolian National Olympic Committee announced that each individual uniform took 20 hours to complete, according to a Yahoo! Entertainment article.
When the Paris Olympics kick off, there’s no doubt these uniforms will steal the show at the opening ceremony and ceremonial torch lighting. After that, Mongolia will be hoping to get back on top of the podium. They haven’t won a gold medal at the Summer Olympic Games since 2008 Beijing when they won 2 golds, the only 2 Mongolia has ever won in the Summer Olympics.
Mongolia did manage 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in Tokyo though.
