Thanks to the immense popularity of ESPN’s The Last Dance documentary series about the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-98 season, Michael Jordan Fleer rookie sticker card just sold for almost $25K and it didn’t even make the top 10 when it comes to the most expensive Jordan trading cards ever sold.

That’s right, a sticker featuring a picture of Michael Jordan in his rookie year sold for $24,601 Tuesday night.

I don’t even want to think about whether or not I owned this sticker as a kid because if I did, well… this would probably be me right now.

Thanks to The Last Dance there has been a bit of a run on Michael Jordan trading cards. Another Jordan Fleer rookie card (an actual card this time), went for a record $12,500 on Tuesday night as well. And it was only graded a “9” and not the much coveted gem mint “10” grade.

Pretty good return since, according to The Action Network, one could have bought the card for less than $2,000 prior to 2013.

In February, sales of PSA 9 Jordan rookies sold for an average of $7,460 on eBay. In March, the average sold price went up to $7,515, but at least two cards sold for more than $10,000 for the first time.

Fast forward to this month and the average price paid is $9,669. Four straight PSA 9s have been sold for more than $10,000 each, including a record for a PSA 9 of $11,285 on Monday.

On Sunday, Robert Edward Auctions broke another record, this time for a gem mint PSA 10 Michael Jordan 1986-87 Fleer rookie card, when it sold for an eye-popping $51,600.

That one actually managed to crack list of the top 10 most expensive Michael Jordan trading cards of all time.
