Augusta National is widely considered one of the most challenging courses in golf. The home of the Masters, it’s played every year for the opportunity to bring home a Green Jacket.

Many of the golfers in the field will be done after Day 2. Typically, the top 65 competitors make the cut. The tournament is over for the rest.

Some have been more successful in finishing their weekends than others.

Who has made the most cuts at the Masters?

Below, we’ll take a look at eight players that have made at least 25 cuts. The list includes some of golf’s top names, many of which boast multiple wins in Augusta.

We’ll start at No. 8 and work our way to the top. The first name is the biggest of the bunch.

Tiger Woods (25)

Woods is the most popular golfer in the history of the sport. He is also one of the winningest, particularly at the Masters.

The superstar owns five victories at Augusta National, which ranks second all-time. His 25 made cuts, meanwhile, are tied for eighth-most in the tournament’s history.

More impressive are his 24 consecutive made cuts between 1997-2024. That streak is better than any other golfer at the event, past or present.

Ben Crenshaw (25)

Crenshaw, too, owns 25 made cuts across his 38 appearances at the Masters. He also has two victories at the tournament.

Age slowed the golfer down, as it does many. After making the cut line in 23 of his first 26 events, he missed out on 10 of his last 12 appearances.

Still, he bests huge names like Tom Watson and Arnold Palmer when it comes to the statistic.

Bernhard Langer (27)

Langer played in 41 Masters Tournaments between 1982-2025. He was cut in his very first appearance, as well as his final five.

In between, he made the cut 27 times. That number puts him in a tie for sixth all-time.

The Masters was the only major the golfer won throughout his career, and he did so twice in both 1985 and 1993. Strong starts played a notable role in that success.

Raymond Floyd (27)

Floyd won four majors throughout his career, one of which came at the Masters. That performance in 1976 was his best at Augusta National, though he had plenty of other strong showings across 45 appearances.

Floyd didn’t necessarily start out as a strong contender in his younger years. It took him some time to get adjusted to the course. He missed the cut in half of his first eight events.

He then went on a streak of 22 made cuts in 24 years, which included three runner-up finishes and that lone victory.

Phil Mickelson (28)

Mickelson ranks fourth in made cuts, with 28 coming across 32 appearances. Included in those 28 successful starts are three Masters wins.

Lefty only missed the cut once in his first 21 tries before being eliminated from play early in two of his next three showings.

He was also cut in 2025. His more than 87% success rate is one of the major’s best.

Gary Player (30)

Player is widely considered one of the greatest golfers of all time. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974 before the age of 40.

His success was displayed a number of times in Augusta. He is one of only three golfers to make the cut in 30 or more Masters Tournaments.

Player made the cut in 24 of his first 25 events, headlined by three wins. He competed in 50 total fields, though he was cut in 20 of his last 24 appearances.

Fred Couples (31)

Couples ranks second in Masters history with 31 made cuts. That includes a streak in which he finished the weekend each of his first 23 tries.

Those 31 made cuts came across just 40 appearances, making his success rate all the more impressive. Those strong starts over the first two days helped him earn ten Top 10 finishes and one victory.

He has a chance to add to his total with a strong open to his 2026 Masters Tournament.

Jack Nicklaus (37)

Nicklaus’s presence at the top of the list should come as no surprise. He also leads the way with six Masters wins – the top total in tournament history.

Nicklaus’s longest streak of consecutive made cuts was 15, but the misses were sporadic. He finished the tournament 37 of the 45 times he played in the field (82%).

In more than half of those made cuts, he finished Top 10. That included finishing no worse than eighth from 1970-1979.
