Myles Garrett Completely Fools CBS Cameraman By Jumping OVER THE LINE To Block Field Goal

Myles Garrett Field Goal Block Jump Over Line
CBS

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is an absolute freak. The former No. 1 overall pick has more than lived up to his billing during what will be a first-ballot Hall of Fame career in the NFL but continues to add to his resume by doing something crazy each and every week.

This week, as Cleveland faced the Colts in Indianapolis, Garrett’s impact was felt on more than just the defensive side of the ball. He made the best special teams play of the week and completely fooled the CBS cameraman with his ridiculously athletic play.

Kicker Matt Gay attempted a lengthy field goal from about the 50-yard-line during the second quarter. Myles Garrett lined up in a two-point stance in the B-gap between the right guard and tackle.

Rather than trying to blow through the two blockers, he went up and over. Garrett channeled his inner Troy Polamalu and jumped the line.

To make it even crazier, it didn’t even look like Garrett did it on purpose at first. His initial leap looked more like a standard block attempt with his hands up.

And then, as he hovered in mid air, it was like something clicked. Garrett realized that he was way above the offensive line and changed his trajectory to land in the backfield.

Whatever happened, it worked. Garrett jumped over the right guard, landed beyond the line of scrimmage and got both of his mitts on the ball to prevent three points.

The feat was so athletic that even the cameraman wasn’t sure what happened. The broadcast followed the trajectory of the ball, despite the ball being swatted down by Garrett.

Here is how it looked in real time:

Myles Garrett is unlike any other player in the NFL. There isn’t anything he can’t do, and his impact on Cleveland’s success cannot be understated.
