Na’eem Offord is one of the most talented prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, rated as a five-star player by every major service. He’s one of the headliners in a loaded Ohio State group that currently ranks 2nd in the nation.

That said, there has been speculation of a potential flip as his recruitment heats up. Much of that noise centers around three schools, in particular.

Offord is a Birmingham native, and in-state programs Alabama and Auburn have been courting him throughout this process. The defensive back took trips to both campuses earlier this summer, and players did their best to make their pitches while showing him around.

To this point, those attempts have been unsuccessful. Still, Offord’s interest in both schools, as well as Oregon, appears to remain high.

In fact, 247 Sports reports that the defender is looking to make at least one return trip to in the near future.

5-star Ohio State CB commit Na’eem Offord says Auburn and Oregon are the two schools in the mix the most for him right now, & has a return visit in mind.

“Freeze tells me I’m an Auburn guy. Telling me I’m one of his top 10 players he wants.”

Will he flip? He says not!

Na’eem Offord shuts down speculation.

After seeing a story on an Ohio State site hinting at a potential de-commitment, the five-star talent chimed in.

That article noted his interest in other schools, emphasizing how big of a loss a flip would be for the Buckeyes. Offord wasn’t having it!

He suggests that his pledge to Ohio State, which came back in February, is firm. Yet, he keeps flirting with the Tide, Tigers, and Ducks!

The speculation won’t die so long as he continues to schedule visits to other campuses. We’ll see if the Buckeyes can hang on.
