NASCAR star Bubba Wallace could be facing a heavy fine following an incident at the Grant Park 165 in Chicago over the weekend.
During the cooldown lap of Sunday’s race, Wallace was caught on camera intentionally slamming into Alex Bowman in retaliation for Bowman causing him to spin out during stage 1.

Immediately after the race, Newsweek reported that NASCAR had launched an investigation into Wallace and was discussing possible punishment for his actions.
Bowman didn’t think Wallace’s swipe was a big deal and apologized for causing him to spin out during the earlier stages.

“He barely hit me, everything was fine and it was plenty deserved. said Bowman. “I’d be mad, too. I ruined his day. I just messed up. I’ve been embarrassed about it since it happened. I tried to call him during the rain delay and I shot him a text.”
