For the last 13 years, NASCAR has had just three car manufacturers: Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota. But that all looks set to change in 2026, and now we have a strong idea of which car maker is looking to join the racing series thanks to car deal in Wisconsin who couldn’t keep the secret to himself.
NASCAR COO Steve O’Donnell stated last season that conversations about adding a new manufacturer were “heating up” with several names in the mix, but Japanese giant Honda leading the way. Now it appears, however, that Honda is either not the only manufacturer getting in the action, or that another carmaker has taken their spot.
Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut reports that Dodge is likely to join the NASCAR Truck Series in 2026. Rumors had been swirling for months that the American car company could return to NASCAR after making an exit in 2013. But now Wisconsin Dodge dealer Jerry Brickner appears to have spilled the beans.

Wisconsin Car Dealer Spoils News Of Dodge Returning To NASCAR In 2026
Brickner recently attended a virtual ‘go to market’ meeting with Dodge corporate affiliates this week. He then posted an image to social media showing that Dodge dealers are expected to take part in a RAM truck activation which focuses on the vehicle’s inclusion in the NASCAR Truck Series.
Chris Knight of Catchfence first reported on rumors of Dodge making a comeback in late February. Knight reported that NASCAR had received a formal submission from the manufacturer about its intent to reenter the series.
Dodge has a storied history in NASCAR. The manufacturer has 217 wins across various NASCAR series’ and five championships, including a pair in the Cup Series. The first Dodge championship came with Richard Petty in 1975. Ironically, the second and final Cup Series championship came with Brad Keselowski in 2012, the team’s final season in the series.
