Nate Diaz is apparently not interested in fighting Conor McGregor anytime soon.

In May, Diaz is scheduled to fight Mike Perry on Netflix’s inaugural MMA card featuring Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey.

Ahead of the fight, Diaz spoke to Theo Von and revealed that he had turned down a fight against McGregor in the UFC before agreeing to face Perry.

According to Diaz, he’s not interested in McGregor because he wants to fight the best fighters in the world.

“I want to go back to the UFC. Yeah, I have bigger offers from the UFC than I got from these guys. But the offers were… the opponents weren’t the right opponents at the moment

“They want me to fight Conor McGregor.”

“I wanna fight the best of the best when they are the best of the best. Conor is great, but I’m not trying to go kill off Conor when he’s on his last dying f-cking leg.”

Diaz went on to say he feels Mike Perry is a better option for him because he would be more motivated to fight someone younger instead of a broken-down McGregor.

“The offer for Mike makes me more enthusiastic to get up and run and ready to train for this motherf-cker who’s gonna knock me out or I’ma knock his ass out. Not taking a fight with a guy who on the comeback.”

Diaz is confident he can beat the current BMF champion Charles Oliveira in the UFC.

“I’ll beat the f–king sh*t out of Charles Oliveira. People I beat have beaten him. He’s walking around with my belt.”
