NBA Free Agent Goes Viral For Looking Like A Mashup Of Jason And Travis Kelce

Jonas Valanciunus, one of the NBA‘s premier free agents, is going viral for his resemblance to both Travis and Jason Kelce.

Valanciunas signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Washington Wizards on Sunday night, the first day of free agency.

But fans couldn’t help but recognize the absurd resemblance the Lithuanian big man bears to the NFL superstars.

From about the top of his head down to his nose, Valanciunas is a dead ringer for Travis Kelce. Even his former New Orleans Pelicans teammates noticed the striking resemblance.

But from that point down, due to his facial structure and huge beard, Valanciunas looks exactly like Jason Kelce. It really is uncanny.

“We don’t talk enough about how much Jonas Valanciunas looks like Travis Kelce. Going to the Wizards does no favors to that,” one fan tweeted.

“The ONLY difference between Jonas Valanciunas, and Travis Kelce is that Travis took a chance on love,” said another.

One person claimed that “Jonas Valančiūnas is just Travis Kelce with Jason Kelce’s beard,” which is pretty much spot on.

Valaciunas signing in Washington came as a big surprise. He was the top free agent center and many fans believed he’d end up on a championship contender.

There were even reports that LeBron James would take a pay cut for the Lakers to sign him.

“There’s a sense probably LeBron James starts to really take this year to year,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. “But what he’s telling the Lakers is if they can find an impact player at the mid-level exception about $13 million whether that’s a Klay Thompson, a James Harden, a Jonas Valanciunas, maybe a couple others because this is not a star-laden free agency class, he will take less on his contract to allow the Lakers to add that exception into their payroll.”

Valanciunas then signed in Washington. Harden re-signed with the Clippers, and Thompson looks to be headed elsewhere.
