The NFL world was shocked on Wednesday night when it was announced former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians was stepping down and former DC Todd Bowles was being promoted to head coach. Arians is remaining with the Bucs in a front-office position. And amongst those who congratulated Todd Bowles on his promotion was free agent Ndamukong Suh.

Ndamukong Suh has played the past three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which included a Super Bowl championship. There is some hope the team can figure out a way to bring him back but their hands are mostly tied with salary constraints. Suh was paid $10,200,000 last season and the Bucs only have $7,254,639 available in cap space at the moment.

But when Ndamukong Suh congratulated Todd Bowles he hinted that the Bucs still need him (he might not be wrong). This sent Buccaneers fans into ‘reply guy’ mode on Twitter, telling Suh he needs to return to Tampa. Check it out…

Let’s take a look at what Buccaneers fans had to say about his tweet…

As a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan I would like to see Ndamukong Suh on the team’s roster next season. Period, point, blank. We are a better defensive team with him in the game. With that said, the Bucs are bending over backward to work within the NFL Salary Cap confines and signing Suh to another contract simply might not be possible. We (the Bucs) also need to sign Gronk. Get that man back on the roster ASAP!

I do find it intriguing that Ndamukong Suh has ‘Portland, Oregon’ listed as his location on his Twitter bio. I’m fully aware that athletes don’t always live in the city where they play but Portland’s straight up on the other side of the country from Tampa.
