Nebraska Cornhukers head coach Matt Rhule is not a fan of TikTok. At least, that’s what the Huskers’ head honcho said earlier this month when he punished several of his players for filming TikTok’s inside of the team facility, something which he stated was a big no-no. But now it appears Rhule has softened his stance. Or, at least, he’s not following his own directive after he appeared in a new TikTok with Nebraska vhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uayxva-VIFUolleyball star Harper Murray.
Rhule recently ran his freshman players through a brutal TikTok workout in order to ensure the newcomers were completely certain about the program’s stance on the social media platform.
“I walked into the training room the other day and Harper Murray, our All-American volleyball player was sitting there with my 9-year-old. She said, ‘Coach Rhule, we’re going to go do a TikTok’ – now I’m anti-TikTok, I won’t let the kids have it – and my 9-year-old is like, ‘What are you going to say to Harper?’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, have fun,’” Rhule said during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “So I’ve had to download TikTok and I found my daughter all over (it), she finds people in the facility, I thought I saw 35 of my football payers doing TikToks. (And), one of them did it in the facility, which is a hard no.”
So, how did Rhule and company address the violation?
“So our strength coach did a TikTok workout this morning with the freshmen, and they were pushing plates with their bios and all their cool stuff they love to post on there,” he continued “But they were doing wall sits at the end, and every freshman had to get out and do a 10-second TikTok dance while the rest of the guys did the wall sit. Welcome to old school.”

Matt Rhule Joins Nebraska Volleyball Star Harper Murray For Viral TikTok Dance
But it appears that Rhule’s rules don’t apply to himself. Murray, who has over 400,000 TikTok followers, posted a new video on Monday with none other than the Nebraska head football coach himself. The video shows Murray dancing to Grammy Award winner Doechii’s 2019 since “Anxiety” as Rhule shadows her dance moves. Within an hour, it garnered over 25,000 likes.
So maybe Matt Rhule doesn’t hate TikTok after all. But if I were one of the players who took part in the workout, I’d have some serious questions for my head coach right now.
