The Colorado Buffaloes struggled on Saturday in a rivalry contest versus Nebraska. Many of the issues on offense centered around the front five.

The Cornhuskers racked up six sacks and 10 tackles for loss as they harassed QB Shedeur Sanders throughout the night.

The matchup between the Nebraska defensive front and Colorado offensive line was identified as a potential mismatch prior to kickoff. The ‘Huskers average around 6’4″ and 300 pounds along the line of scrimmage, and those big fellas feasted in Lincoln.

The Buffs didn’t seem worried about the size difference in weekly leadup. Many suggested that technique would be the key to slowing down the Nebraska pass rush.

They were wrong!

Colorado couldn’t move the ball consistently on the ground, rushing for just 16 yards. That forced the offense to throw time and again, allowing the Cornhuskers to pin their ears back.

As hits piled up, mistakes followed. The Buffaloes found themselves in a 28-0 hole by halftime.

After the game, Shedeur Sanders commented on his offensive line’s poor play.

“How many times did Raiola get touched?” he asked in his presser. “Whenever you’re able to run the ball consistently, it opens up the pass… Why would we keep running the ball if we’re in a situation where it’s a must-get and we don’t get it?”

While Sanders was throwing his o-line under the bus, the Cornhuskers were trolling the QB from inside the locker room!

Nebraska danced on Shedeur Sanders’ grave after the win.

Freshman wideout Cooper Wilson posted a video of the team blasting Sanders’ “Perfect Timing” song throughout the facility.

It wasn’t the only jab they’d throw at the passer.

Dylan Raiola was seen photographed on the field while flashing Sanders’ patented “Shedeur” pose after the win, a celebration made famous during last year’s rivalry matchup.

They enjoyed the moment!

With the victory, Nebraska moved to 2-0 while avenging last season’s loss in Boulder. Colorado fell to 1-1 and now have more offensive questions than answers.
