With the final pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected defensive back Kobee Minor out of the University of Memphis, making him this year’s “Mr. Irrelevant.” The Patriots’ social media team got a bit overzealous in posting about Minor, however.

Following Kobee Minor’s selection to close out the NFL Draft, the New England Patriots social media team put out a tweet announcing Minor’s selection. The tweet referenced Kendrick Lamar’s hit song ‘Not Like Us,’ as the caption simply read “A Minorrrrr.”

“Why you trolling like a b—-? Ain’t you tired? Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A-Minor,” Kendrick raps in the famed Drake diss track.

The tweet was quickly deleted, however, as the context of the lyrics — Kendrick telling Drake that he’s into minors — certainly weren’t appropriate for an NFL team to be posting.

In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Patriots made another 10 selections in addition to Minor, drafting: left tackle Will Campbell, running back TreVeyon Henderson, wide receiver Kyle Williams, center Jared Wilson, safety Craig Woodson, defensive tackle Joshua Farmer, edge rusher Bradyn Swinson, kicker Andres Borrengales, offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, and long snapper Julian Ashby.

Campbell’s selection was a particularly popular pick as the young offensive tackle out of LSU went viral for saying he’s “going to fight and die to protect” Pats second-year QB Drake Maye.
