New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough got a little aggressive on Saturday as he chucked beaded necklaces both to and at fans outside at a pre-Mardi Gras event.

Shough, the Saints’ second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, started nine games and played surprisingly well, completing 67.6 percent of his passes for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns, and six interceptions, which New Orleans went 5-4 in those games.

As such, Shough was honored as the grand marshal of the Pygmalion parade, which rings in during the first week of Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Except, it appears that Shough either took his duties a little too seriously or took out some aggression on fans in the process.

The Saints posted a video from the event, and it showed Shough absolutely firing beaded necklaces into the crowd as he was trying to fit a seam ball in between a safety and a cornerback. Many of the fans backed away, startled by how quickly the beaded necklaces came their way.

However, Shough may have had good reason to be in such a hurry!

As it turns out, his wife, Jordan, is very pregnant and expected to go into labor at any moment, which could well have happened during the parade.

“Desi Vega’s (one of the best restaurants in the city) kind of helped me out as far as having some cars on standby, on the scene there,” Shough explained. “But she’s doing a great job. She’s definitely ready to be done, for sure, as most mothers and fathers know at that point.”

Thankfully, Shough did not need to cut the parade short. And as far as we know, his wife has not yet gone into labor.

But you can understand why he may have been a little more amped up than normal in the moment.
