New Pictures Show Cop That Arrested Scottie Scheffler Greatly Exaggerated Injuries

The Louisville Metro Police Department released previously redacted documents Scottie Scheffler‘s arrest at the PGA Championship, and new photos appear to suggest that the cop that arrested greatly exaggerated his injuries.

Detective Bryan Gillis was transported to the hospital for several injuries after the arrest and LMPD claimed that his uniform was damaged beyond repair.

Detective Gillis was directing traffic into Gate 1 of the Valhalla Golf Course due to the road being closed in both directions from an earlier fatal collision. Listed subject was driving eastbound to gain access to the course. Subject pulled into the westbound lanes, where outbound traffic was flowing and to avoid backed up traffic,” the initial police report read.

“Detective Gillis was in the middle of the westbound lanes, in full LMPD uniform and a hi-visibility yellow reflective rain jacket. Detective Gillis stopped subject and attempted to give instructions. Subject refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective Gillis to the ground. Detective Gillis suffered pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist and knee. He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment by emergency medical personnel.

“Detective Gillis’ uniform pants, valued at approximately $80 were damaged beyond repair.”

New Photos From Scottie Scheffler Arrest Don’t Support Words Of Arresting Cop

Notably, Gillis did not have his body cam on at the time of the incident. And now, thanks to several new photos, we know that Gillis’s account was not super accurate

The photos show a very small owie scrape below Gillis’s knee. They also show a relatively small rip in his pants that appears fixable.

That’s a large difference from the initial account.

Scheffler gave a much different account of the incident. As did multiple witnesses.

Police dropped charges against Scheffler as well.

Something tells us that this isn’t likely to end well for Detective Bryan Gillis.
