The New York Giants began the 2024 NFL season at 0-1 after an ugly loss to the Vikings on Sunday. To make matters even worse, their throwback uniform created some unfortunate optics.

Some of the players looked like they were not wearing pants during the blowout defeat on their home field.

New York is commemorating its 100th season with a special look. The ‘Century Red’ uniform is a hodgepodge of different elements from the past.

Tan pants and red socks with blue and white stripes were worn during the team’s inaugural season in 1925. Red jerseys with a blue stripe that features the player’s number is an homage to the 1933 team. A blue winged helmet honors the 1938 NFL championship team.

The Giants’ new kits were met with mixed reviews when first announced back in May. Rookie wide receiver also Malik Nabers admitted that he is not a huge fan and was brutally honest that it will be hard to “swag them out.”

Nevertheless, it is what the team is wearing during the 2024 season — 100 years after its genesis.

New York barely eclipsed the 150-yard mark through the air, ran for less than 75 yards and mustered only a pair of field goals over 60 minutes. The Vikings defeated the Giants by 22.

If the performance on both sides of the ball wasn’t embarrassing enough — especially on offense — the new (old?) pants added salt to the wound.

Certain camera angles, combined with the angle of the sun, made it appear as though some of the caucasian players wore jerseys and socks without their knickers. They were in the nude!

Kicker Graham Gano had it especially bad. His less substantial physique really made it look like his thighs and cheeks were out.

The long sleeves covering his arms certainly did not help!

You might say that the Vikings beat the pants off of the Giants. Heyyyyoooooooooooo!
