It has become a yearly tradition for football fans to spend the NFL offseason waiting to see what the future will hold for Aaron Rodgers.

The past couple of years, he has been completely in control of his future.

The question just came down to whether or not he wanted to continue playing football.

This year, he has already made that decision. Rodgers has made it clear that he wants to play football next year. It just won’t be with the Green Bay Packers.

Luckily, we don’t have to wait to find out where he plans to play as he already revealed that that he wants to play for the New York Jets.

Now fans just find themselves waiting for a deal to actually be made to send him to East Rutherford.

There have been reports that the Jets don’t want to include their first rounder this year in a deal for Rodgers, but that may not end up holding the deal up.

According to a report this morning, the teams are working on a deal that will include the Jets’ 2nd rounder this year and a high pick next year that is dependent on whether or not Rodgers plays in 2024.

Today at the NFL’s owners meetings, Jets owner Woody Johnson was asked about negotiations and revealed that the Jets have a plan.

Based on the latest reports, the Jets have a pretty good plan.

If they could get Aaron Rodgers without guaranteeing a single first-round pick, that would be a pretty smooth move from the organization.

Rodgers quickly makes the Jets a real threat in the AFC with all of the talent the team has available on both sides of the ball.

The possibility that they could add to that with a top-15 pick this season and then only have to give a 1st next year if they get another season out of them sounds like a pretty great one for the New York Jets.

After years of struggling, they may finally set themselves up for success with this Rodgers negotiation.
