Despite all of the additional revenue that the team has brought in since acquiring Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets remain one of the cheapest franchises in the NFL, as evidenced by the packages they recently sent out to their season ticket holders.

A New York Jets season ticket holder with the username Fire Brian Cashman posted a video of his season ticket package on Monday, July 29, showing off what’s essentially nothing more than an envelope with a coupon book in it, as it came with a 25% off coupon for Jets watches, 25% off coupon for dress clothes, 2024 Schedule Magnet, 2024 Team Yearbook, and advertisements for their team wine and a credit card.

For context, here’s the season ticket package that the Las Vegas Raiders sent their most loyal fans:

Making matters worse for Jets fans is the fact that, despite having not made the playoffs since 2010, the team has raised the price of season tickets by 10%.

“The Jets are raising prices for 2024 by an average of 10 percent. They are also requiring season-ticket holders to renew earlier — by November 15. In the past, they could wait until the spring to renew their tickets. The reason for the price hike and the earlier renewal deadline is the increased demand the Jets have seen for tickets this year.” [via New York Post]

This is the third straight year the Jets have raised their ticket prices and the fifth time the average ticket price has gone up since MetLife Stadium opened its doors in 2010.

The New York Jets’ first two games of the 2024 season will be on the road as they’ll take on the 49ers in San Francisco on September 9 in the first Monday Night Football matchup of the year and the Titans in Tennessee on September 15. Gang Green’s home opener will then be against their heated AFC East division rivals New England Patriots.
