Wheaties, the iconic cereal brand, has announced that the next faces to grace their legendary orange box will be none other than NFL stars and brothers J.J. Watt and T.J. Watt.

This marks the first time in the brand’s history that they have chosen to highlight brothers together as Wheaties Champions.

J.J. and T.J. Watt have not only achieved greatness on the football field but have also made significant contributions to their communities.

Their commitment to family and their dedication to making a positive impact off the field have solidified their positions as Wheaties Champions and paved the way for them to become the first-ever brother pair to be featured on the Wheaties box.

Both J.J. and T.J. Watt began their football journeys in their home state of Wisconsin, playing at the college level before making their way to the NFL.

J.J. Watt was drafted as the 11th overall pick by the Houston Texans in the 2011 NFL draft. He would go on to win the prestigious Defensive Player of the Year award three times, earning seven All-Pro selections, and receiving five Pro Bowl invitations.

Additionally, J.J. Watt was recognized for his outstanding off-field contributions and was named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2017.

After his time with the Texans, he spent his final two NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, ending his career on a high note with 12.5 sacks in his last year before retiring after the 2022 season.

T.J. Watt, the younger of the two brothers, was selected as the 30th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2017 NFL draft. He quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with on the field, winning the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021. T.J. Watt has also garnered four All-Pro selections and received five Pro Bowl nods.

In a remarkable feat, he tied the single-season sack record with 22.5 sacks, matching the record set by former New York Giants player and current Good Morning America host, Michael Strahan.

T.J. had the opportunity to play with his older brother, Fullback Derek, after the Steelers signed him in 2020. The duo showcased their exceptional skills and family bond on the field for three seasons before the conclusion of the 2022 season.

Despite their athletic achievements, J.J. and T.J. Watt have never lost sight of the importance of service and giving back. They have been actively involved in various charitable endeavors, providing assistance to those in need.

Notably, J.J. Watt raised an astounding $41.6 million for the Hurricane Harvey relief fund, making it the largest crowd sourced fundraiser in world history.

Both brothers have also dedicated their time to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, granting the wishes of children facing serious illnesses.

The selection of J.J. and T.J. Watt as the faces of the Wheaties box is a historic moment for the brand. Since 1934, Wheaties has only chosen individual athletes to be featured, but in this special edition, the brothers will be joined by their sibling Derek, who will appear on the back of the box.

To be included among the incredible roster of athletes who have been featured over the years is a true honor. We hope this box is a reminder for athletes and people everywhere to persevere – on the field and in life – and always champion what you’re passionate about.”
