It was quite the roller coaster for the Baltimore Ravens before the NFL Draft, however, things cooled down once Lamar Jackson signed his contract extension.

The front office made some adjustments in the hopes to improve the offense. Most notably, Baltimore will be ran by a new offensive coordinator in Todd Monken.

On top of that, the Ravens acquired Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers to add a boost to the wide receiver core.

With that said, the offense might look very different in the 2023 season. Lamar Jackson certainly seems to think so after laying claim the team will consist of “less running and more throwing.”

If that’s the case, then this will be the first time in Lamar Jackson’s career where the passing game will be featured in the Ravens offense.

The NFL is a passing league and it’s getting to the point where run-first offenses are becoming a thing of the past.

Even so, football fans couldn’t help but shake their heads at Jackson’s claims. Mainly due to the reputations he has as a running quarterback.

As it turns out, not many fans believe him.

This guy is treating Lamar Jackson’s statement the same way I treat Sasquatch rumors.

Is it all just smoke and mirrors?

Some fans think this idea could completely backfire.

We’ll have to see if this claim holds true or not. Baltimore has been rather successful when running the ball over recent years.

But at the same time, opening up the offense isn’t a bad idea either. Especially considering it’s probably the best way for the Ravens to compete in the AFC.

With that said, keep an eye on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. If he can step up his game up as a passer, then this team could be a real threat in the 2023 season.
