ESPN believes its $165 million booth of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will restore the glamour to “Monday Night Football.”

From Howard Cosell, Don Meredith and Frank Gifford to Al Michaels and John Madden, MNF has been a staple of American television culture.

Aikman, according to sources, has signed a five-year, $90 million contract, tying Tony Romo of CBS for the largest yearly NFL TV salary, while Buck has inked a five-year deal for $75 million.

On Monday, Buck and Aikman finally made their ESPN debut during the Seahawks-Broncos game.

Fans were weirded out listening to Buck and Aikman on Monday Night Football.

“how do I explain to a normal person why it feels so weird that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are doing Monday Night Football instead of the FOX Sunday afternoon game”

“Hearing Joe Buck and Troy Aikman doing Monday Night Football feels so strange. Almost like seeing your teacher out in public.”
