Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl again as they seek to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl titles. And if Patrick Mahomes is in town, you know that means the rest of his family will be, too.

While Patrick Mahomes seems to be genuinely well-adjusted and therefore largely well-liked despite his recent dominance over the NFL, his immediate family is a different story entirely, notably his wife Brittany, his brother Jackson, and his father Patrick.

Just earlier this week, for example, Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to say she’s “praying” for Bills fans to become “better people.”

While Brittany and Jackson seem to largely annoy people with their personalities (although Jackson was charged with assaulting a woman at a bar), his father Patrick Sr’s brand of trouble-making is a bit different, as he gets in legitimate troubl with the law.

Mahomes Sr. has had his fair share of legal issues in recent years, many of them stemming from driving while intoxicated arrests. Mahomes Sr. was last arrested for DWI in February 2024, reportedly the sixth time he’s been arrested for the alleged crime.

Given the infamous party atmosphere of New Orleans and Mahomes Sr’s history of perhaps partying-too-hard, NFL fans have found themselves a bit worried about what the 54-year-old might get up to during Super Bowl week.

Mahomes and the rest of the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will take Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and the NFC Champion the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9 at the Super Dome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Chiefs have opened as 2-point favorites over the Eagles in what’s a rematch of Super Bowl LVII in 2023, which the Chiefs won by a score of 38-35.
