NFL Releases Shameless Hype Video That Features Taylor Swift More Than ANY Player

As I wrote earlier this summer when detailing Patrick Mahomes’ revelation that Taylor Swift has apparently drawn up some plays for the Chiefs, it’s possible that the NFL’s coverage of the pop star’s relationship with Travis Kelce actually becomes *more* annoying.

And based on the hype video that the NFL released this week to celebrate the start of the 2024/25 season, I was right.

In a highlight hype video posted to X, formerly Twitter, captioned “FOOTBALL IS BACK THIS WEEK,” Taylor Swift is featured five times, more than any other player in the league, including Patrick Mahomes, reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Tyreek Hill, and so on. She’s even featured more than her own boyfriend.

As defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs will be hosting the inaugural game of the 2024/25 season when they take on the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5. With Swift’s popular Eras Tour in the midst of a hiatus, there’s a decent chance that the Grammy Award-winning musician will be in attendance at the game.

The Chiefs are favored by 3-points over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who fell to the Chiefs in the divisional round in last season’s AFC playoffs. If the Chiefs win another Super Bowl this year, they’ll become the first team in the history of the National Football League to win three straight championships.
