NFL players, including Tom Brady, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts, got embarrassed by Team USA’s flag football team.
Last year, Team USA flag football QB Darrell Doucette was offended when NFL players expressed interest in playing on the Olympic team in 2028.
“We just don’t think they’re going to be able to walk on the field and make the Olympic team because of the name, right?” Doucette told The Guardian. “They still have to go out there and compete.”
“I think it’s disrespectful that they just automatically assume that they’re able to just join the Olympic team because of the person that they are — they didn’t help grow this game to get to the Olympics,” Doucette said. “Give the guys who helped this game get to where it’s at their respect.”
On Saturday, several NFL players took on the Team USA flag football team featuring Doucette at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic and got absolutely crushed.
Burrow, who expressed interest in playing during the Olympics, threw a pick-six to Team USA’s flag football team.
