The NFL is entering its final week of the 2024 regular season, and while their might not be much on the line for the league’s teams — as many of them have either clinched or been eliminated, with only seeding still yet to be determined — there’s plenty at stake for its players, namely, monetary incentives.

As numerous betting accounts have pointed out on social media, a litany of players across the NFL are within realistic reach of earning extra money through a contract incentives this weekend, with the most popular ones centering on Tampa Bay Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans, Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Deandre Hopkins.

Evans, with another 1,000 yard season under his future Hall of Fame belt, needs five catches and 85 yards, an average game by his standards, to earn an extra $3 million. As for Pollard, he needs 82 rushing yards to earn another $250K, while Hopkins needs another touchdown for an additional half-a-million bucks.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith also has tons at stake on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, as his contract incentives have him in the position to potentially earn an additional $6 million. If Smtih passes for at least 186 yards, he’s earn another $2M. If his completion percentage, currently at 69.55%, ends the season at 70%, that’s another $2M.

Finally, if the Seahawks, who have been eliminated from playoff contention, win 10 games this season, that’s another $2M for Geno.

In the AFC, the Chiefs, Bills, Texans, Ravens, Chargers, and Steelers have all clinched playoff berths, leaving just the 7th seed in contention on Sunday, which is up for grabs between the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins. Both the Bengals and Dolphins need help, while the Broncos face a win-and-in scenario agains the Chiefs’ backups.

In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and Washington Commanders have all clinched, which leaves the Bucs and Falcons vying for the 7th and final seed. The Lions and Vikings are also squaring off with the #1 overall seed on the line.
