Stars defenseman Jamie Oleksiak’s slap shot took an unfortunate deflection off a skate and flew right into Rooney’s skull. He lay on the ice motionless for a minute before gathering the strength to skate off.
That’s probably going to leave a hell of a mark, but it could have been a lot worse.
