When college football coaching legend Nick Saban gives a piece of advice, you’d be wise to listen. That’s especially true for now former Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore.
Moore was shockingly fired for cause on Wednesday evening amid news that he was having an inappropriate relationship with a Michigan football staffer.
He was later arrested after officers responded to a call involving a domestic dispute at the alleged apartment of the aforementioned staffer.
Noted author, reporter, and Michigan alum John U. Bacon revealed that the alleged staffer told internal investigators about the inappropriate relationship on Wednesday morning, leading to Moore’s firing.
More information: UM conducted an internal investigation, interviewing both Moore and the employee (separately, I presume), this summer. Both said, “No how and no way” anything was happening between them, which didn’t give UM much to go on.

But this all could’ve easily been avoided.
Nick Saban Issued A Warning About Inappropriate Sexual Relationships
While Saban is a coaching legend, his wife, “Miss Terry,” has become a bit of a star in her own right. The two have been married for over five decades, and she now appears alongside him regularly on College GameDay.
In a quote from a 2015 book titled “Saban: The Making of a Coach” by Monte Burke, Saban gave “life lessons” to his Alabama’s players.
One of those life lessons involved sexual relationships.
“Ultimately, you never want to sleep with anybody who has less to lose than you do,” Saban told his players. “So, ultimately, if I’m ever going to sleep around on Miss Terry, it’s going to be Hillary F—ing Rodham Clinton.”
According to the book, the players all broke out in laughter, but one player was quoted as saying, “And it was actually a great lesson.”
The book was published over a decade ago. So Saban’s advice was publicly available to anybody and everybody. If Moore had simply followed it, he’d likely still be the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines right now.
