It’s going to take Nick Saban a little while to get adjusted to the College GameDay environment.
Earlier this year, Saban retired from coaching college football to join ESPN’s College GameDay.
ESPN brilliantly decided to sit the stoic Saban next to the always-electric Pat McAfee, which led to a lot of funny on-air moments.
During a break in the broadcast, Saban became when a meme while sitting next to a hyped-up McAfee, who was dancing to Lil Jon’s ‘Snap Yo Fingers.”

Here’s how fans reacted to Saban & McAfee sitting next to each other on College GameDay.
“Saban looks like the designated driver at a club while Pat had a few too many Tequila Sunrises or Vodka Cranberries,” said one fan.
“I think ESPN has found their GameDay dynamic for the next 5-10 years.” commented another fan
By the show’s end, Saban seemed to be getting looser and having more fun on the GameDay set.
“This is so much fun” 🥺
I can officially say after seeing Saban so damn happy I am now totally at peace with his retirement. Roll Tide! pic.twitter.com/cjkn9w14So
