Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is undoubtedly the most boisterous (some would use other terms) head coach in the NFL.
When you’re winning a lot, fans love it. But the minute things turn south, it can get ugly. That’s exactly what happened Sunday when Sirianni got into an altercation with Eagles fans sitting behind the team’s sideline.
Media members asked Sirianni about the incident after the game, but he seemed to dodge the question in more ways than one.

“When I’m operating and having fun, I think that breeds to the rest of the football team,” Sirianni said afterward. “If I want the guys to celebrate after big plays, then I should probably do that myself, right?”
But not everyone was buying that answer. Later in the press conference, another reporter asked about the substance of the incident.
“It was just all out of fun,” he said. “We thrive off the crowd when they cheer for us. We hear them when they boo. We don’t necessarily like it. I don’t think that’s productive for anybody. When they cheer for us, and when we got them rolling – we love it.”
Additionally, Sirianni caught heat for bringing his kids to the press conference. Although he seemingly does so often, especially after wins, not everyone thought it was appropriate.
“Such a bush league move by Sirianni to bring his kid to the podium while he’s under fire for bad play and acting like a maniac on the sideline. Kids are not human shields,” Patriots beat reporter Ben Volin stated.
Eagles fans seemed to tire of Sirianni after the team’s late-season collapse in 2023. A 3-2 start to the new season hasn’t helped to assuage their fears, particularly after a narrow victory over the lowly Cleveland Browns.
At some point, it’s likely to reach a crescendo. But it doesn’t appear Sirianni is going to change his behavior anytime soon.
