Popular WNBA rookie Nike Muhl suffered what appears to be a bad injury to her left knee during a FIBA Women’s Super Cup game.
Muhl, playing in her first for the Women’s Basketball Super League’s Besiktas team, appeared to injure her knee while landing after grabbing a defensive rebound against Gabby Williams‘ team Fenerbahce.
After crumbling to the ground, Nika Muhl can be seen holding her left knee and screaming in pain with the sound echoing through what appears to be a mostly empty and certainly very silent arena.

Nika Muhl, 23, played just 57 minutes in 16 games with the Seattle Storm during her rookie WNBA season after being selected 14th overall in the second round of this year’s draft.
On the season, she scored just two points while shooting just 1-for-14 from the field for a .071 field goal percentage.
Muhl, from Croatia, previously played four seasons overseas for ZKK Tresnjevka 2009 in the Croatian Premier Women’s Basketball League.
In college, while playing for the UConn Huskies, Nika Muhl missed several games with injuries to her ankle and a concussion. She also suffered an apparent leg injury in the third quarter of UConn’s two-point loss to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes in this past year’s NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
