Bill Belichick’s Shortcomings Could Impact Headlining Musical Act’s List Of Demands

The game will start at noon as the teams enter the matchup with combined 3-5 records. Bill Belichick’s inability to win could alter the musical act’s list of demands.

The Tar Heels announced the rapper as the headliner for their next edition of the Chapel Thrill Concert Series. Country music artist Chase Rice got the call in Week 1.

Ludacris is no stranger to sporting event appearances. He played the Super Bowl in 2024. He’s been spotted in Atlanta at Braves and Falcons games, as well as in Athens for the Georgia Bulldogs.

The artist went viral ahead of his performance at the 2016 UGA spring game. The reasoning related not to his show, but to his hospitality rider.

What will Ludacris ask from North Carolina football?

The rapper was paid $65,000 for a 15-minute concert in Sanford Stadium. That equated to more than $4,000 per minute!

His list of demands was even more eye-grabbing. Ludacris included the following in his rider according to CBS Sports:

  • 1 box of Trojan Magnum Condoms, Ecstasy
  • 2 bottles of Belvedere Vodka
  • 2 bottles of Conjure Cognac (his personal brand)
  • 2 bottles of Patron Silver
  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1 bottle of white wine

With six bottles of liquor and a box of condoms, it seems he was ready to let loose in Athens. His Chapel Hill show might look a bit different.

Ludacris goes on at 10 AM…

And that was with the concert being pushed back a few minutes. When initially announced, the school noted that the rapper would perform two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff.

At the time, a matchup between Bill Belichick and Dabo Swinney looked a bit more appetizing. The Tar Heels were coming off of a win. The Tigers were still in the ACC Championship discussion.

A week later, both teams are recovering from blowout losses. Clemson fell by two scores to Syracuse while North Carolina lost 34-9 versus UCF.

Bill Belichick’s bunch has looked particularly bad against P4 competition. The Tar Heels have been outscored 82-23 in their two biggest contests.

A noon kickoff time was released this week as a result. It will force Ludacris to hit the stage at 10 AM, which could create a bit of dilemma.

The rapper’s previously mentioned performance at UGA came just before a 4 PM spring game start. Will he really want six bottles of liquor and a box of condoms that early in the morning?

“Kegs and eggs” is definitely a thing, but that seems excessive.

Of course, the early kick time could allow Ludacris to get his party started a bit earlier, so maybe nothing changes. He should be back at the tour bus/tailgate before noon.

Hopefully, details of his rider are once again made public. It would be fun to see if Bill Belichick’s struggles impacted the artist’s asks.
