The Notre Dame Fighting Irish faced off against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday looking to move to 4-1 on the year. They’d do so in what was chippy matchup in South Bend.

Irish defensive back Jordan Clark made waves when he landed an unnecessary roughness penalty for headbutting an opponent. He filled everyone in on why he reacted the way he did on Sunday.

The defender was lining up against Cardinals wide receiver Chris Bell throughout the day. At one point in the action, he was seen taking what appeared to be a cheap shot at his opponent.

He’s now accusing Bell of committing a disgusting act.

Jordan Clark says he was spit on by his counterpart. He was only reacting.

Clark was the second guy. Never be the second guy!

The headbutt landed the Notre Dame football team a 15-yard penalty. Louisville would get a first down, but wouldn’t be able to capitalize on the drive, eventually punting back to the Fighting Irish.

Luckily for Clark, the penalty didn’t hurt his team in what ended up being a seven-point win.

To this point, it doesn’t seem Chris Bell has made a public denial of the situation. The accusation is a serious one!

If it did go down as Jordan Clark says, the Notre Dame football team might have a bit more sympathy to the on-field reaction.
