The Knicks Surprised A Combat Vet With A Service Dog Last Night And The Pup Went Crazy For His New Best Friend

During an intermission of last night’s Subway rivalry Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks game, the Knicks organization surprised a combat veteran with his very own service dog.

United States Army vet Luciano Yulfo was brought out onto the court without really knowing what was going to happen, but one of the employees quickly pointed out the overjoyed pupper named Murphy that was wagging his way towards them. You can see the joy in Luciano Yulfo’s eyes upon realizing he’s receiving his very own service dog, which is more than enough to warm your heart, but it’s the dog’s reaction which makes this a truly spectacular moment. All the dog wants to do is love and play:

Dogs are the best. This isn’t even up for debate.

Luciano Yulfo’s new best friend Murphy was trained by PawsOfWar.org, an organization that trains service dogs to be placed with combat veterans and vets with PTSD. If you’re ever looking for a good organization to make a charitable donation to you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better cause than that, right?’
