Odell Beckham Jr has been a free agent for more than a year now.

Over the course of that free agency we have heard plenty of rumors about how things are playing out.

It turns out that one of those rumors that was reportedly very recently actually isn’t true.

A recent report claimed that Beckham was looking for a contract that would pay him $20 million per year wherever he actually ended up signing.

This morning, Beckham Jr refuted that report and seemingly revealed what he has actually been offered by at least one team so far this offseason.

Based on his Tweet, it appears he has been offered $4 million this offseason.

For comparison, the New York Giants just signed Parris Campbell to a contract worth $4.7 million dollars for the 2023 season and has incentives that could take it up to 6.7 million.

In total, there are 53 wide receivers who make at least $4 million in the NFL right now and 41 of them make at least 5 million.

There are certainly questions about what Odell Beckham Jr has to offer at this point in his career. He is 30 years old and has suffered multiple major leg injuries over the course of his career.

It is very unlikely that he is still anywhere near the superstar he once was, but can we confidently say he isn’t in the top 40 at the position anymore?

It will be interesting to see what a team actually ends up paying Beckham Jr given his injury history and who that team turns out to be.

In a pretty weak free agent class at the position, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we get our answers to those questions.
