The Michigan Wolverines picked up a historic upset over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday afternoon at Ohio State. Unfortunately, the game was marred by an ugly incident with time winding down as Michigan and Ohio State players engaged in a violent brawl.

As the Wolverines tried to kneel out the clock, the trash talk began. Fisticuffs quickly followed and players came spilling on the bench. Police tried to break up the fight, but struggled at first. What happened next, nobody saw coming.

Police appeared to pepper spray players from two teams in order to cause them to disperse. A pair of Michigan players could be seen rubbing tears out of their eyes as the two teams eventually went their separate ways.

Sports Illustrated senior writer Pat Forde reported that he too was pepper sprayed. Forde stated that several players, coaches, and media members were caught in the spray.

After the game, Michigan running back Kalel Mullings stated that he felt Ohio State players started the fight. But there was no clear indication of what exactly happened.
