Have you ever wanted to own a Heisman Trophy? What about the specific 1968 Heisman Trophy won by USC Trojans running back O.J. Simpson?

Well, now you can do just that!

Simpson’s estate is auctioning off the Heisman Trophy that “The Juice” won in hopes of raising money to pay off the family of Ron Goldman, whose death he was found liable for in a civil suit in 1994.

Simpson now reportedly owes Goldman’s family $117 million after three renewed judgments from 2015, 2016, and 2022, as well as interest.

“It wasn’t about the money — it was about justice,” Goldman’s father Fred said in a previous interview.

“You know, every day, I miss my son. Every day, I’m aware of what I’ve been missing. Every day, I’m aware of what Ron didn’t get to do in his life, all of his goals, his future,” he says.

“I’m aware of the times we don’t get to spend together. I don’t know how you can not be aware.”

OJ Simpson Heisman Auction Comes After Executor Swore Off Goldman Family

Simpson passed away earlier this year and his executor, Malcolm LaVergne, told media members that the Goldman family should receive nothing from the Simpson estate.

“It’s my hope that the Goldmans get zero, nothing. Them specifically. And I will do everything in my capacity as the executor or personal representative to try and ensure that they get nothing,” he said.

Though he later walked back that comment.

“In hindsight, in response to that statement that ‘it’s my hope they get zero, nothing,’ I think that was pretty harsh,” LaVergne told NBC News. “Now that I understand my role as the executor and the personal representative, it’s time to tone down the rhetoric and really get down to what my role is as a personal representative.”

It turns out the law does not care what Malcolm LaVergne things.
