The Ole Miss Rebels continued to flex their muscles in Week 3 of the college football season, this time heading to Winston-Salem to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

As they did in Weeks 1 and 2, the Rebs came away with an emphatic victory to stay undefeated.

Ole Miss had beaten its first two opponents by a combined score of 128-3 upon entering the contest. They added to that incredible scoring margin on Saturday with another blowout.

Lane Kiffin’s bunch scored 20 first quarter points to jump out to an early lead. They’d then cruise to a 40-6 win as the offense continued to go crazy.

A number of Ole Miss fans made the trip to the Tar Heel State to watch that beatdown in person. The Rebels’ head coach talked about what felt like a home game atmosphere after the fact.

Ole Miss took over Wake Forest’s football stadium! Lane Kiffin made sure to point it out after the win.

The head coach also called out the Demon Deacons for backing out of next year’s scheduled matchup, offering a $1 million buyout in lieu of another potential L.

“These guys called over this week and (Wake Forest AD John) Currie said we’re not playing you guys next year and bought out of the game,” said Kiffin after the win. “What makes it worse is (he) does it after we play at their place.”

He’s disappointed that he won’t have a chance to host the Demon Deacons in Oxford next season.

Luckily, this one felt like a home game!

The previously scheduled matchup was supposed to be played on September 13th, the third game of the 2025 campaign. Instead, it appears the Rebels will need to find a new opponent over the offseason.
