Top MLB prospect Paul Skenes made his Double-A for the Altoona Curve in Pennsylvania on Saturday night, and his girlfriend Olivia Dunne was in attendance.
On TikTok, Dunne appeared to be wearing a Skenes’ Pirates jersey while sitting in the skybox to watch her boyfriend play.
Unfortunately for Skenes, he had a bit of a rough outing in his first Double-A game.
On Saturday night, Skenes gave up four earned runs on three hits and two walks to the Akron RubberDucks before being pulled after pitching 2/3rds of an inning.

Some scouts were still impressed with Skenes after his disappointing showing.

Despite Skenes’ struggles, there was plenty of evidence that showcased in part why the Pirates selected him with the top pick. Of Skenes’ 33 pitches, 12 were registered at 99 mph and another two hit the century mark. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder also very much looked his frame on the hill, at least from Crabbe’s perspective.
It seems like Dunne will be watching Skenes play in the minors for a bit longer before he gets called out to the big show.
