As athletes complain about the quality of food at the Olympics in Paris, American surfing representative Caroline Marks is eating like a queen in Tahiti. Team USA went all-out for its trip to French Polynesia!

Nobody is going hungry and their daily diet look absolutely delicious.

If you don’t know by now, the Olympics moved this year’s surfing competition out of France. There is actually a pretty big surf culture in Seignosse, Capbreton and Hossegor, but the swells are not up to standard at this time of the year. Meanwhile, Tahiti is a French territory and boasts one of the most famous waves in the world, Teahupoʻo.

While the more “traditional” athletes (gymnastics, track & field, etc.) stay at the Olympic Village in Paris, most of the surfing participants stayed on board a pretty sweet cruise ship in the South Pacific Ocean. The United States decided to go its own route. It rented a team-specific house at the end of the road instead.

Views from their back porch are absolutely breathtaking and the food spread in Tahiti is pretty impressive as well.

Simone Biles complained about the food at the true Olympic Village and she was not the only one to do so. It apparently lacks proper seasoning so the athletes in France have been forced to get creative.

Meanwhile, Marks and company are pretty happy with their meals!

The 22-year-old Florida-native recently shared an inside look at everything she eats in a day at the Olympics. Marks starts her day with some fresh bacon, eggs, sausage, avocado and fruit. Lunch consists of local salmon, some kind of Polynesian rice (perhaps coconut?) and some salad.

Dinner is next level. Team USA’s chef prepares many different types lean protein to go with a big salad, all kinds of fresh fruit from the island, and fish caught right off shore. It looks bomb.

Although the surfing competitors are missing out on the more authentic experience in Paris, they have it better than everyone else while in Tahiti! And, assuming that Team USA makes it happen, Caroline Marks and the other American surfers will get to travel to France for the Closing Ceremony — so they’ll get the best of both worlds. Only a medal could make the trip even better!
