Omarion Hampton decided not to play for North Carolina during the Fenway Bowl and ended his college football career one game (and one year) early. However, the future NFL running back still made the trip to Boston to support the Tar Heels at Fenway Park.
As did his girlfriend, which led to a hilarious moment on the sideline.
Hampton, 21, was a four-star prospect in the recruiting Class of 2022. He ran for 1,504 yards as a sophomore in 2023 and 1,600 yards as a junior in 2024 with 15 touchdowns in both seasons. As a result of his strong career at North Carolina, the 6-foot-0, 220-pound running back is projected to be a second-round pick in April.
The Tar Heels finished the regular season at 6-6 to earn a bid to the Fenway Bowl. Head coach Mack Brown was fired shortly thereafter.
With nothing more to prove, Omarion Hampton decided to opt out of the postseason and declared for the NFL Draft. He still traveled north to Beantown to cheer on his guys. His girlfriend went with him.
Although she has yet to be identified at this point (they are not “Instagram official), we got a glimpse of her side profile during the Fenway Bowl. ESPN cut to Hampton on the sideline as he unleashed a big yawn. Meanwhile, a seemingly random woman looked at the running back and licked her lips in a seductive manner. It sure appeared as though she was caught being thirsty on national television.
