Bitter sports bettors are sounding the alarms of suspected foul play after Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton played in just one snap during the AFC Wild Card game between L.A. and the New England Patriots.

In the lead up to the AFC Wild Card game between the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots, Chargers’ running back Omarion Hampton was listed as questionable throughout the entire week, and only practiced on Friday while wearing a “big brace.”

On Sunday against the Pats, Hampton was ultimately suited-up and active, but played just one snap, carrying the ball one time for minus one yard, with the implication being that playing one snap is enough to make all prop bets placed on him technically valid, while also, of course, not providing any real platform for him to achieve the “over” on those bets.

“Serves the Chargers right for lying about the health and availability of Omarion Hampton,” famed fantasy football analyst Matthew Berry tweeted after the Chargers’ loss.

“Omarion Hampton getting 1 Carry in the game just to validate all bets and then leaving is very very shady from the League,” added a viral tweet on the subject.

“So, you guys telling me no one is going to investigate the Los Angeles Chargers for using Omarion Hampton a single snap just to save the bookies from voiding his props? This is dirty. Someone needs to stop Vegas, man. This is getting worse every week, in every sport,” complained a third popular post.

The Chargers wound up getting dominated by the Patriots in a snoozer, losing the AFC Wild Card Round clash by a score of 16-3. With the win over the Chargers, the Patriots have advanced to the AFC Divisional Round, where they host either the #4 seed Pittsburgh Steelers or #5 seed Houston Texans.
