The NFL Draft this weekend offered a slight glimmer of hope that  *maybe* the sports landscape as we know it will return to normal.

Maybe.

Someday.

On Saturday afternoon, however, in a late round of the draft, fans watching at home were were thrown for a curveball in the middle of the broadcast:

A OneRepublic performance of their commercial bubblegum pop anthem “Better Days”, right before the Philadelphia Eagles elected Auburn OT Prince Tega Wanogho as the 210th pick of 2020 NFL Draft.

Talk about uncertain times!

This moment of extremely overproduced television seemed very out of the blue and unnecessary, irking many for ruining an otherwise delightful NFL Draft, considering the circumstances.

Can we all agree to keep OneRepublic out of football season this year? Let’s keep it to segment bumper music in the broadcast.
