Pablo Torre Had One Of The Clutchest Performances You’ll Ever See On ‘Celebrity Family Feud’

Family Feud is one of a handful of game shows that feature special episodes where celebrities have the chance to see how they fare, and sports media veteran Pablo Torre stepped up to mount an impressive comeback in the final round after getting put in a tough position by David Chang.

Pablo Torre has done pretty well for himself since graduating from Harvard in 2007, as he quickly made a name for himself with his work for Sports Illustrated and ESPN (he had an instrumental role in the stellar Broke installment of the 30 For 30 documentary series) and spent more than a decade with The Worldwide Leader before linking up with Dan Le Batard’s Meadowlark Media in 2023.

The man who currently serves as the eponymous host of the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast recently got the chance to branch out a bit when he teamed up with celebrity chef David Chang, former LPGA star Michelle Wie West, ESPN staple Mina Kimes, and author Chris Ying for an edition of Celebrity Family Feud that saw them face off against a squad led by John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

The episode aired on Tuesday night and saw Torre’s team punch their ticket to the “Fast Money” round before he and Chang got the chance to respond to five prompts in an attempt to rack up the 200 points required to secure $25,00o for charity (specifically the Southern Smoke Foundation, an organization devoted to providing assistance for bar and restaurant workers in need).

If you’re not familiar with the final round of Family Feud, the first contestant who participates usually wants to rack up at least 100 points in order to set up their other team member for success. Unfortunately, Chang failed to do Torre any favors by finishing with just 54, which meant the podcaster needed to scrape together 146 points.

Thankfully, Torre was able to mount the comeback with a performance that rivaled Frank’s on a Family Feud-inspired episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as he ultimately named three of the number one answers en route to racking up the 228 points that put his squad over the grand prize threshold.

He’s got that clutch gene.
