Police in Connecticut arrested a 40-year-old man on Monday on charges of stalking UConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers.

It marks the second time in three weeks that the man — Robert Cole Parmalee — was arrested for stalking Bueckers. Parmalee had an outstanding arrest warrant in his home state of Oregon, but Oregon planned to move to dismiss those charges according to a statement from UConn.

Parmalee previously displayed extremely troubling behavior surrounding Bueckers on social media.

Fans of Bueckers found his social media accounts and discovered that he had posted messages making numerous claims, including one that said he was going to Connecticut to see Bueckers and that he would “sacrifice” anyone near her when he got there.

In another post, he shared a photo of himself holding a ticket with the caption, “I’m coming to UCONN Paige Madison Bueckers, I’ll be in Hartford tomorrow morning.”

Parmalee also shared photos of himself posing with a large cardboard cutout of Bueckers and in another post, wrote “I can’t wait to get you in my bedroom princess.”

All of this makes you wonder why the state of Oregon initially planned to drop the charges against him.

Paige Bueckers Stalker Being Held On Hefty Bail After Second Arrest

ESPN’s Kate Barnes reports that he’s now being held on $100,000 bond after appearing in Connecticut Superior Court.

In one post on TikTok, Parmalee reportedly said  “And if I cannot live with a woman of my choosing, [Bueckers], then I will choose to die, and I will choose to take all of you that [op]pose me, oppose us, to hell, and return, king…”

Parmalee also sent videos directly to Bueckers on Instagram.

Thankfully, he was arrested before being able to follow through on any of his threats. But it’s a troubling incident for one of college sports’ biggest stars.

The court issued protective and no-contact orders were issued for “PB,” who is presumably Bueckers. The judge in the case stated that Parmalee will be subject to “intense pretrial supervision” and GPS monitoring should he make bail.
