Paige Bueckers is back in the gym after a whirlwind summer prior to her fifth and final season of women’s college basketball. The World Tour is over, it’s time to lock in!

With UConn’s first game just one month away, the Huskies’ star point guard can see into the future and is prepared to deal with the haters.

Bueckers spent as much time away from Storrs as possible over the last four months. Classes wrapped up at the end of May. She hit the road not long thereafter.

  • June 9 — Game 2 of the NBA Finals
  • June 29 — Washington Mystics vs. Las Vegas Aces
  • June 29 — Washington Spirit vs. North Carolina Courage
  • July 7 — Washington Mystics vs. Seattle Storm
  • July 11 — The ESPYS
  • July 20 — WNBA All-Star Game
  • August 1 — Citi D.C. Open
  • August 13 — Minnesota Twins (first pitch)
  • August 15 — Minnesota Lynx vs. Washington Mystics
  • August 17 — Overtime Select
  • August 23 — Minnesota State Fair
  • August 30 — U.S. Open
  • September 1 — Seattle Storm vs. Connecticut Sun
  • September 1 — U.S. Open
  • September 7 — New York Fashion Week
  • September 8 — Las Vegas Aces vs. New York Liberty
  • September 29 — Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

That timeline might actually exclude a few different stops, like the night she spent at a casino with rapper A Boogie after his concert in Hartford. Bueckers’ constant trips to various sporting events all over the country became a running joke in the college hoops community on social media, to the point that UConn’s official social media accounts had to make sure that she was going to show up to class.

The Huskies will begin their season at home on Nov. 3. They expect to compete for a national championship and nothing short of a Final Four will do. That may not even be enough.

As tipoff quickly approaches, Bueckers can already see the criticism she will receive from haters online after a bad game. They are going to get on her about her trips and how that time would’ve been better spent in the gym.

It’s inevitable, but Paige Bueckers doesn’t care. Only she knows how much work she put in all summer.

The World Tour is over. The Farewell Tour has begun. Get your popcorn ready!
